Esta propuesta nace como una reivindicación del hacer manual, la paciencia y la artesanía en el contexto de la creación contemporánea. En una época dominada por la inmediatez y la aceleración digital, la obra propone un retorno a la creación lenta (festina lente), donde el tiempo no es solo un factor de producción, sino la materia prima fundamental. A través del trabajo sobre acero corten mediante reactivos de óxido, el proceso plástico se convierte en una metamorfosis orgánica.
El óxido no se impone; se negocia con él a través de la espera, la reacción y la calma. Sobre esta superficie viva se alzan imágenes compuestas inspiradas en la pintura y el arte clásico, referencias habituales en mi práctica para revisar la idea de la «obra maestra». Históricamente, estas piezas han funcionado como modelos de aprendizaje y como testimonios del límite del potencial humano. Traídas al presente, estas imágenes no buscan la nostalgia, sino recordar el arte como enseñanza y como un espacio de excelencia que solo se alcanza a través de la dedicación.

Rust is a material that we often associate with deterioration and decay, but it can also be a source of beauty and creativity in the eyes of whoever looks at it.
Rust is a versatile and expressive material. It reminds us of the ephemeral nature of all things, but it also shows us that beauty can be found in unexpected places. As an artist, I use oxidation to create works that convey period and meaning, and that allow us to reflect on our own relationship with the passage of time.
In my pieces I use rust as a medium to create unique textures and patterns in each work, but I also use it as a source of inspiration to reflect on deeper themes such as mortality, transience, and the value of memory.
In a world where we often focus on the new and shiny, rust reminds us that beauty can be found in unexpected places. It is an invitation to look beyond the obvious and find meaning in what may seem worn and old.
This collection invites us to reflect on our own relationship with the passage of time and the importance of finding beauty and meaning in all stages of life.
